Skybound Wealth Management values the importance of gender balance, which is why we were keen to make a pledge to the Women in Finance Charter earlier this year.
The charter was put into action to tackle gender balance across financial services, with the aim of making the workplace fairer for women, whilst committing to support the progression of women in senior roles in the financial industry.
We pledge to continue to support diversity within the Skybound organisation and are focused on not only creating an equal, positive and safe workspace for our employees, but also on supporting women at all levels to achieve their career ambitions and any personal development goals.
Since committing to the charter Skybound has:
Worked hard to increase female representation, with recruitment of female staff increasing by 250% in 2020 compared to 2019. We are also on track for another 30% increase in 2021
Introduced our Women Like Us initiative which aims to support and guide women from all departments through the course of their career whilst offering development programs
Conducted a number of surveys and focus groups to help us shape and evolve our gender strategy
Implemented a new Mental Health awareness strategy and organised regular HR care calls with all of our staff
Reviewed our maternity leave policies to improve support with the transition back to work after having a child
